my wife would come get me alrite. I tried to text her the other night, and she never answered. So when I heard her get home, I texted her again to ask if her new phone was already broken. This apparently was borderline.

My neighbor broke his leg in a car accident and instead of a cast they built an exoskeleton. But he could not put any weight on it.
I bought a wireless doorbell and mounted the button on a small piece of wood. We plugged in the doorbell and whenever he needed assistance from his wife or his children he pushed the button for the doorbell.
A cane would work too but eventually would require that the ceiling be re-painted. The doorbell works better.
No animals were injured or killed in the production of this post.

Ever think of a intercom? Voice would be far better than "thump, thump."
