It looks way quicker than pocket screws, and I have problems with pocket screws in soft woods anyway because I end up over-tightening the screws on occasion.

I always see Hoffman at the shows for face frame construction. Don't know as a cabinet customer how I would fee about seeing their dovetail keys on the back of the face frame but just wanted to make you aware of another option.

When I was in the picture framing business there was a "thumbnailer" system similar to the Hoffmann system. It works well and it costs just $600.00 or $700.00. But it is too noisy and generates too much sawdust for a framer in a shopping mall. It is also painfully slow. The preferred method is to use an under-pinner, which drives V-shaped nails spaced evenly. It works well as a quick clamping method, but it is not nearly as strong as pocket screws.
