there is an article in this year's FWW "Tools and Shops" issue about an under workbench cabinet. Also, I think it was last year's issue that had a Shaker style bench with storage underneath, but that's a bigger bench

Yea I've seen them, and in the more recent one there was a comment asking if the top slid out for cleaning, there was no reply the last time I looked.
It's interesting that in the recent article his cabinet looks like it goes all the way to the top and is set back to clear the dog holes, (it's a Lie-Nielsen bench)
