I guess the owners of this forum don’t want anyone to post pictures anymore

I don't think they have not allowed it - I think its broken and fixing isn't a priority.

Obviously there is a work around by using a hosting service.  I just liked uploading here instead - hate hosting sites

But for the price of this forum - it's all good

Exactly what I thought, too.

It will hopefully be fixed, but if it isn't, that ain't the end of the world.

Stay calm and it will be fixed (it is, posted as attachment)

Testing. Does this thing work? I just uploaded an image directly to the forum instead of using a separate host for it. It seems to work for me but then I might be doing it wrong. I prefer to use Flickr for hosting my images, though, so I have control over them.

I'm going with "Something was broken, and now it's fixed".

The problem with offsite hosting is if the other provider changes the rules, or goes broke, your images vanish.

How's all those images hosted on free Photobucket accounts working now? Red Xs all over the net.

At least if your images are hosted on the local server, they stay there as long as the server is running.

OK guys, realizing I like others here in the past, have been "picture posting challenged" it still doesn't seem to be working for me. I copied a picture in my Download file, clicked on the "Insert an Image" button, inserted the copy and nothing but box image. Also tried to insert the copy directly into the reply screen - just the address info. Using jpeg file.

Thanks,

Doug
