I see the guy I think you're talking about on eBay. $48.50 for a screw seems like one.
St. James Bay Tool Co. supposedly makes repro parts for the Stanley 50, including the narrow blade clamp screw and the equally elusive chip deflector. I don't see those on their eBay vendor site, but they are listed on their wonky website here - https://www.stjamesbaytoolco.com/ but no price is listed. They list a contact number though and might be worth a call. My 50 is missing those parts as well so I'd be interested in hearing how you make out. Phil

Talked to St. James Bay. He doesn't have any now but will run some in 2 months. He will run them sooner if more people call him and want one. He's charging $12.00 plus shipping. If anyone is looking for one of these call him at 800-574-2589 and let him know, if he gets enough calls he will run them sooner. |
