I am looking for source 1/2" Barrel nut ( Dowel nut)
So far I have not located yet.
I only need 4 nuts.
Once source I found the minimum order was 144 nuts.
Any suggestions.
I am looking for cross dowels for 1/2 screw.

Are you looking for cross dowels for 1/2 screws or 1/2 in. diameter cross dowels or 1/2 in. long?

If you had a drill press and a 1/2" tap that sure wouldn't be a difficult thing to make 4 of those.

Lee Valley has these:

...although the cross dowels themselves look a little short.
Rockler has these:
https://www.rockler.com/heavy-duty-cross...olt-8-pack
...although they're 1/2-12?
Woodcraft has these:
https://www.woodcraft.com/products/highp...lt-4-piece
...although they state 1/2" w/o TPI, so I don't know if they're -13 (which is typical, right?).

FWIW, I wanted something similar when I built my workbench base from LVL and found a 1/2" wing nut worked the trick. I'll confess it isn't as fancy, but it sure was less expensive and readily available. It has been 15-ish years and the bench is solid as a rock.
I just held onto one of the wings until the threads were started, didn't take any more effort than conventional cross dowels.

Thanks Benchcraft will work. I just needed the barrel nuts, but I will get the set from Benchcraft.
