If you're TV is capable of using apps You may want to try and setting up a Plex server.  If it's not you can buy a A firestick, roku, etc.  You'll have to download the videos but I find it much nicer ...

You didn't misunderstand John, I mistyped.  I meant to say the top clearance.  I was thinking between 1/4-1/2".  I think I'll follow your tip of using a number that makes the dovetails look purty.
