I bought one of these today -- missing the depth stop, of course--thinking I was getting a plow plane. But it's not; it's a beading plane. Has anyone ever used one of these?

Just change the cutter to make it a plough plane. They used both.

Edit Reason: typo -- *beading

Has anyone ever used one of these? Works well as a plow. So you are missing the depth shoe for the left side but have the beading fence and blades?

You can make a new depth stop using drill rod and a scrap of steel.

Sadly, it came without a set of cutters, just a single plow-style cutter. That's what confused me. But it does have a fence.

Just one fence that rides on two rods. I guess it was missing more than I thought.
