It is frustrating how DC fittings don't seem designed to fit well together. Warming up the end of the hose in a bowl of hot water has been enough for me to get it over the SDD ports.

Are you installing on a wet floor or dry floor? This will affect what you are using for a drain (overflow vs. no overflow, and how the drain/floor are sealed) Matt
