Post: Walnut or Elm?

I thought this is an elm tree, I didn't pay too much attention to the leaves last year and I didn't think there were walnut trees here. But this seems awfully dark for elm.

"That's a pretty old valve. I'd think twice before turning it." This. Replace it with a quarter turn valve whether you go with the FIP or cutting it off for the compression valve.

"Dunno whether that helps, but my advice is to go big or stay home. The money is in big, custom stuff." Do you ship any of your items, or just local sales?

For the hobbiest, it makes sense to me. If I were a professional, I would want the longer warranty and wouldn't want to spend the time to wait for what I needed.

I picked up a used Laguna 1412. Is Carter still the recommended guide setup, or should I look for something else? I ahd the Carter on my Ridgid bandsaw and like it, but I bough it many years ago.
